THE SWEETEST SOUND
(For "LadyFool")
On this, a balmy summers eve,
I smiled to our bright lady moon...
it was She who carried the song
| far over the oceans roar between us... |
|
And that's when we heard
the sweet sound of comfortable silence.
Mistress Emma was impassioned
playing all the haunting refrains...
with sensations and mem'ries
| of long ago ~ yet a moment away ~ |
|
And that's when we remembered
the sweet sound of comfortable silence.
Candles flickered in moist breezes
while the night sky echoed the chords...
all the notes and harmonies
| incited angels around to applaud... |
|
And that's when we knew
the sweet sound of comfortable silence.
There is no time and no distance
more than what's between you and me...
as the dance moves on forever
| unfolding through our infinity... |
|
And that's where we share
the sweet sound of comfortable silence.
(Authors Note: "Mistress Emma" is a reference to my acoustic guitar which I lovingly named, "Emma Washburn.")
